About Kroger
The Kroger Co. is the largest traditional grocery chain in the U.S. by revenue, operating about 2,700 stores under the Kroger, Ralphs, Fred Meyer, King Soopers, Harris Teeter, Smith's, Fry's, QFC, and other regional banners. Founded in 1883 by Bernard Kroger in Cincinnati, Ohio, where it is still headquartered, the company also runs about 1,500 in-store pharmacies, 1,600 fuel centers, and a fast-growing alternative profit business (Kroger Precision Marketing advertising, Kroger Personal Finance). Kroger's planned merger with Albertsons was blocked by federal courts in late 2024.
About the Kroger logo
The Kroger (KR) logo is part of the Tickericons pack — a hand-crafted set of logos for every company in the S&P 500. Each logo is manually redrawn to a consistent grid, weight, and corner radius so KR sits cleanly next to other tickers in cap tables, dashboards, equity research, and fintech UI.
You get two styles: the trademark (just the symbol, ideal for grids and tight UI) and the full logo (mark plus wordmark, ideal when there's room to breathe). Both ship as scalable SVG, high-resolution PNG, and reusable Figma components.
Kroger was added to the S&P 500 on Mar 4, 1957 and is currently classified under the Consumer Staples sector.
