The combined company owns and operates hundreds of apartment communities concentrated in coastal urban and suburban markets — Boston, New York, Washington D.C., Southern California, the San Francisco Bay Area, and Seattle — plus expansion markets such as Denver, Atlanta, and Dallas-Fort Worth. Vivmark is headquartered in Chicago and Arlington, Virginia, and trades on the NYSE under the ticker VMRK, carrying forward Equity Residential's S&P 500 membership and its original ticker history back to 2001.
