About Iron Mountain
Iron Mountain operates one of the largest physical records management businesses in the world, storing and managing more than 750 million boxes of records for organizations across legal, healthcare, financial services, and government. Headquartered in Boston and founded in 1951 in a former iron mine in upstate New York, the company has been transforming into a broader storage and information management business — adding fast-growing data centers (Iron Mountain Data Centers), asset lifecycle management (Iron Mountain ALM), and digital records workflow software (InSight DXP). The records storage business remains a highly cash-generative annuity that funds the data center buildout.
About the Iron Mountain logo
The Iron Mountain (IRM) logo is part of the Tickericons pack — a hand-crafted set of logos for every company in the S&P 500. Each logo is manually redrawn to a consistent grid, weight, and corner radius so IRM sits cleanly next to other tickers in cap tables, dashboards, equity research, and fintech UI.
You get two styles: the trademark (just the symbol, ideal for grids and tight UI) and the full logo (mark plus wordmark, ideal when there's room to breathe). Both ship as scalable SVG, high-resolution PNG, and reusable Figma components.
Iron Mountain was added to the S&P 500 on Jan 6, 2009 and is currently classified under the Real Estate sector.
