About Target Corporation
Target is one of the largest U.S. general-merchandise retailers, operating roughly 2,000 stores known for a curated mix of apparel, home, beauty, grocery, and seasonal goods. Founded in 1902 as Dayton's department store in Minneapolis and rebranded as Target in 1962, the company is still headquartered there. Target has built one of the strongest private-label portfolios in retail — Up&Up, Cat & Jack, Threshold, Good & Gather, All in Motion — and operates the Drive Up and Shipt same-day fulfillment services. Target Circle is one of the largest retail loyalty programs in the U.S.
About the Target Corporation logo
The Target Corporation (TGT) logo is part of the Tickericons pack — a hand-crafted set of logos for every company in the S&P 500. Each logo is manually redrawn to a consistent grid, weight, and corner radius so TGT sits cleanly next to other tickers in cap tables, dashboards, equity research, and fintech UI.
You get two styles: the trademark (just the symbol, ideal for grids and tight UI) and the full logo (mark plus wordmark, ideal when there's room to breathe). Both ship as scalable SVG, high-resolution PNG, and reusable Figma components.
Target Corporation was added to the S&P 500 on Dec 31, 1976 and is currently classified under the Consumer Staples sector.
