About Cadence Design Systems

Cadence Design Systems is one of the two leading providers of electronic design automation (EDA) software alongside Synopsys, with tools used to design, verify, and validate integrated circuits, PCBs, and electronic systems. Founded in 1988 and headquartered in San Jose, California, the company has expanded beyond chips into multiphysics simulation, computational fluid dynamics, and molecular modeling through acquisitions like AWR, NUMECA, and OpenEye. Cadence also licenses Tensilica DSP and processor IP and runs a fast-growing AI/ML business. Most of the world's advanced chips touch Cadence tools somewhere in the design flow.

About the Cadence Design Systems logo

The Cadence Design Systems (CDNS) logo is part of the Tickericons pack — a hand-crafted set of logos for every company in the S&P 500. Each logo is manually redrawn to a consistent grid, weight, and corner radius so CDNS sits cleanly next to other tickers in cap tables, dashboards, equity research, and fintech UI.

You get two styles: the trademark (just the symbol, ideal for grids and tight UI) and the full logo (mark plus wordmark, ideal when there's room to breathe). Both ship as scalable SVG, high-resolution PNG, and reusable Figma components.

Cadence Design Systems was added to the S&P 500 on Sep 18, 2017 and is currently classified under the Information Technology sector.
