About Carmax
CarMax is the largest U.S. used-car retailer, operating roughly 250 superstores and a leading omnichannel buying and selling platform that lets customers transact entirely online, in-store, or in a hybrid format. Founded in 1993 as a subsidiary of Circuit City and spun off as an independent public company in 2002, the company is headquartered in Richmond, Virginia. CarMax pioneered the no-haggle, fixed-price model in used cars and is known for the rigor of its vehicle inspection and reconditioning process. CarMax Auto Finance provides financing on a substantial share of CarMax retail sales.
About the Carmax logo
The Carmax (KMX) logo is part of the Tickericons pack — a hand-crafted set of logos for every company in the S&P 500. Each logo is manually redrawn to a consistent grid, weight, and corner radius so KMX sits cleanly next to other tickers in cap tables, dashboards, equity research, and fintech UI.
You get two styles: the trademark (just the symbol, ideal for grids and tight UI) and the full logo (mark plus wordmark, ideal when there's room to breathe). Both ship as scalable SVG, high-resolution PNG, and reusable Figma components.
Carmax was added to the S&P 500 on Jun 28, 2010 and is currently classified under the Consumer Discretionary sector.
